This is an introductory level workshop, presented by Trident Manor Limited and the International Arts & Antiquities Security Forum (IAASC). The course is designed for those professionals that have a need or desire to understand the threats that can impact their unique cultural property sectors, how various threats manifest themselves, and steps that can be taken to reduce the risks they pose.

The programme content has been developed from extensive research and experiences in protecting Cultural and Heritage venues globally, and helps participants identify, manage, and mitigate risks that exist within museums and other cultural venues.

Programme content includes:

  • Understanding Hazards and Adversarial Threats
  • Attack Methodology – The Attack Cycle (includes case studies)
  • Situational Awareness
  • Surveillance and Surveillance Detection
  • Effective Operational Practices

This programme is ideal for those involved in operational activities, including front of house staff, invigilators, visitor service teams, curatorial teams, facility management, and security personnel.

What makes this programme unique is that it has been ‘Certified’ by the UK's CPD (Continued Professional Development) Certification Service. This means that its structure and content have been assessed and approved to meet the requirements that guarantee the continuous professional development of individuals across the sector.

At the end of the programme, delegates will have increased understanding and awareness of the threats that exist, how they manifest themselves, and the proactive actions and operations that can be implemented to protect venues, visitors, and staff.

This will be a LIVE event, via Zoom, that will run approximately 4 hours
