The American Association for State and Local History (AASLH) and the National Council on Public History (NCPH) will hold their first joint conference September 16–19 in Providence, Rhode Island. In recognition of America’s 250th anniversary, this year’s theme, “The Work of Revolution,” explores how public historians, museums, archives, historic sites, and cultural institutions document change, interpret complex histories, and use the past to help shape the future. The conference will offer engaging sessions, workshops, tours, discussions, and opportunities to connect with history professionals and volunteers from across the field. Online registration has closed, but onsite registration will be available at the Rhode Island Convention Center.
