CIPM I and CIPM II Certifications

Certification Options for the Certified Institutional Protection Manager (CIPM I and CIPM II)

The International Foundation for Cultural Property Protection offers quality advanced  training and certification for managers, supervisors, executives and administrators.  The Certified Institutional Protection Manager (CIPM) certification program is now available in live and online formats.

The CIPM and CIPM II programs designate those managers, directors, administrators, or others responsible for the protection of a cultural, educational, or public institution. Candidates in this category include contract or proprietary security managers, security directors, law enforcement officers, facility managers, administrators, or those ultimately responsible for protection of the institution.

IFCPP's requirements for CIPM manager certification include active membership, institutional protection experience, evidence of a clear criminal history, final approval by the IFCPP Certification Team, completion of live or correspondence coursework and examination, and required reading (Safeguarding Cultural Properties).

The CIPM II program offers the advance level of management certification, and requires completion of the CIPM level one program
as a prerequisite.

CIPM II certification is the next step in IFCPP's industry recognized CIPM program, offering qualified managers the opportunity to further advance their cultural property protection knowledge.  Graduates attain the highest designation in the field, joining the ranks of leading professionals across the globe.
