Re-Certification

Re-Certify Your Cultural Property Protection Protection Designations (CIPS, CISS, CIPM & CIPM II )

If your IFCPP certification is up for renewal at the end of your most recent 3-year certification term (2-year for CISS), we offer the following options for re-certification:

  1. Submit Re-Certification Application From our Learning Management System (LMS). Re-Certification by application is based on a point system of professional development activities and continuing education units completed since the beginning of your latest 3-year certification term. We are now offering Continuing Education Units (CEUs) via our online Learning Management System to help our members more easily attain re-certification. Read about the opportunities to earn IFCPP CEUs here.
  2. Complete updated CIPS or CIPM course work online. (Active IFCPP Membership is required for online course work.)
  3. Complete live, updated CIPS or CIPM course work in person. Consult the “Training Calendar” page for a schedule of courses. The course schedule will be updated as class locations are added.
  4. Complete CIPM II advanced course work to attain CIPM II certification. All CIPM graduates in good standing are eligible for CIPM II certification, IFCPP’s next level of management certification. This is available to complete online on our LMS here. 

Re-Certify Your Certified Visitor Relations Specialist (CVRS) Designation

Your IFCPP CVRS Certification is up for renewal at the end of your most recent 2-year certification term. We offer the following options for re-certification:

1. Re-take and pass the CVRS Final Exam on our LMS here.

2. Contact us if you would like to re-take the full CVRS course on the LMS.

Current Re-Certification Fees:

  • CIPS - $65 (every 3 years)

  • CVRS -$45 (every 2 years)

  • CISS - $95 (every 2 years)

  • CIPM & CIPM II - $95 (every 3 years)

  • CIPI - $150 (every 2 years)
